Saw this article via the IIA’s Facebook page and thought it was really interesting.

It’s great that they are finally getting around to actually doing something about these tips. Unfortunate, though, that it took so long to get a conclusion from this program.

I did find it amusing that the IRS took the taxes out of the reward money before they even sent it to the guy. ”We’re giving you this money! Oh but wait, we’re taking some of it back first!”

Bureaucracy is silly sometimes.

Just finished reading this article, and I found it really interesting. I feel like we’re witnessing the beginning of a new field: “Financial engineering”. Not sure how I feel about it yet… guess we’ll have to wait and see where this goes!

I’m currently a college senior majoring in Accounting, and hoping to graduate in either August or December. I’m interested in internship opportunities right now, especially in information systems auditing, and in the Cleveland, OH area. I’m always on the lookout for any good volunteer opportunities, too.
